History of the building

A three storey building with eclectic facade was originaly built in 1887 by architects Janošovský and Zábranský. In the year 1926 was the building raised about the fourth, fifth and attic floor by builder Ing. Emil Sušický. Over the internal wing in the courtyard area were also added two floors and built two bays. At the same time were modernly adjusted principal facades from art-nouveau to functionalist style.

SPÁLENÁ 5 is located in the very center of Prague, in Prague 1. Present administrative building will be completely rebuilt to a multifunctional object with commercial space in a ground floor, three administrative floors facing the street, independent studios in the courtyard and exclusive residential penthouses on the top. Total useful area of the building exceeds 4000 m², in underground will be created brand new garage parking spaces and courtyard is waiting for designers renovation into peaceful place with greenery and water elements.
